SEC won't pursue a fraud case against Moody's regarding CDO ratings

The Securities and Exchange Commission said uncertainty about jurisdiction has forced it not to pursue a fraud case against Moody's Investors Service regarding credit ratings on collateralized debt obligations. The SEC also announced that it will take action against a credit rating agency if it detects "deceptive ratings conduct."
