U.S. ethanol output, demand reached record levels in June

U.S. ethanol production set a record in June of more than 854,000 barrels per day, up 8,000 barrels per day from the month before and surpassing June 2009's output by more than 160,000 barrels per day, according to the Energy Information Administration. Ethanol demand in June set a record of 857,000 barrels per day, compared with 721,000 barrels per day a year ago, according to data from the Renewable Fuels Association.
