AHA urges CMS to delay some value-based purchasing measures

A letter to the CMS outlines what the American Hospital Association says are the agency's shortcomings in fulfilling the Affordable Care Act's requirements for the value-based purchasing program, including failure to publicize certain quality measures on the Hospital Compare website. AHA says those failures will negatively affect hospitals and the agency should delay the consideration of those measures under value-based purchasing until the requirements have been met.
