Zite, which customizes a digital magazine based on a reader's interests, will remain in its form after its acquisition by CNN, which said the product "just needs to be in the hands of more people." Zite is programmed to learn readers' interests over time. K.C. Estenson, general manager of CNN's digital division, said the network could use such technology for its Apple iPad news offerings. Terms of the deal weren't disclosed, but estimates peg the acquisition price at $20 million to $25 million.
