Movie rentals are cropping up in social networks

With some major backing from Sony Pictures, Warner Bros. and others, the new movie-streaming site flickme is injecting a social-network element into rentals. Flickme is integrated into Facebook and Twitter and, among other things, allows users to rent movies at a discount if recommended by a friend. Other movie services are entering the social realm as well, including Miramax's eXperience and Universal Pictures' Social Theater.
