Older men with diabetes are at higher risk for bowel cancer

A study of 1,300 people found men with type 2 diabetes ages 55 to 84 were almost twice as likely to develop bowel cancer as those without the disease. University of Western Australia researchers reported during a diabetes conference that colorectal cancer screenings should be part of diabetes management for older men.
