Glaxo begins posting trial results for drugs marketed in past four years

The company announced it will post results of all of its recent clinical trials on its Web site, beginning with 65 tests related to Avandia, a drug for treating diabetes. An executive said posting the trial results would take about a year, since they include all results conducted on subsequently approved drugs since 2000, when the current company was formed through a merger. Trials before that and considered medically significant also will be posted, the company said.
