Gartner: Mobile ads will explode in 2011

Worldwide mobile-advertising revenues will jump by 74% this year, but the sector is expected to take off by 2011. A new Gartner report pegs spending on the medium for 2009 at $913.5 million and says that growth is "primarily driven by mobile Web banner ads, but it also has a strong growth component from mobile search, downloadable applications and SMS advertising."
