Music video site seeks to become broader entertainment portal

CBS Corp. and NBC reportedly are considering teaming up with Vevo, a music video site, to license and create online programming. Such a move could position Vevo as a possible rival for MTV by adding broader content beyond its core of music videos and artist interviews, according to this article. A source cited in this article said Vevo has similar deals in the works with Warner Music Group and EMI Group.
