Out lawmaker wants anti-marriage group to reveal who's paying bills

Out Iowa Sen. Matt McCoy is asking the public to support a petition that calls on the anti-gay National Organization for Marriage to make public its financial backers. NOM, which has been a major force in anti-marriage referenda in California and Maine, has begun running ads in support of an anti-gay candidate for Iowa office, according to McCoy. "This is not an isolated effort, but an organized and well-funded assault on civil marriage equality across the country," McCoy writes.
