Panasonic's bid for Sanyo hinges on more regulatory nods

Panasonic, which has received the approval of seven regulatory bodies for its proposed acquisition of Sanyo Electric, still is waiting on word from four more, the company said. Panasonic, one of the biggest consumer-electronics firms in the world, has offered to pay $4.3 billion for Sanyo, the largest maker of rechargeable batteries.
