Pulmonary CTA picks up alternate diagnoses in children

Pediatric researchers said pulmonary computed tomography angiography can identify conditions other than pulmonary embolism in children. The study found CTA most commonly showed alternate diagnoses of pneumonia and atelectasis, but also indicated cases of congenital heart disease, pulmonary hypertension and rib fractures.
