Report urges state and local government action against obesity

A report from the Institute of Medicine and National Research Council says state and local governments can fight childhood obesity by taxing snack food and soft drinks, giving tax breaks to grocery stores that open in low-income neighborhoods, requiring restaurants to list calorie counts, and boosting access to bike trails and playgrounds.
