Wi-Fi hotspots as marketing medium?

The U.S., with more than 67,000 public Wi-Fi access points far outranks any other nation in public hotspots, which as a category have grown 400% worldwide over the past five years, JiWire is reporting. Nearly four in 10 users of public Wi-Fi in cafes use it to buy things, and nearly all of those who click on mobile ads do so using an iPhone or an iPod Touch, according to JiWire.
