Wisconsin budget cuts lead to unsightly medians

State highway medians near Milwaukee range from well-manicured to weed-ridden because of budget cuts. The Department of Transportation asked counties to reduce the maintenance of medians, but some lawmakers disagree with the policy. "The way they spend money and throw it around, there certainly is a way to find some bucks and mow some grass," said state Sen. Mary Lazich.
