As American seeks talks, TWU rejects imminent strike

American Airlines says it is looking to the National Mediation Board for guidance on its next steps after two bargaining units of the Transport Workers Union rejected new contracts last week. "We've demonstrated we can reach agreements with the TWU and look forward to getting back to the table," a spokeswoman said. Meanwhile, TWU President Jim Little reassured members that no strike is imminent.
