Bahamas education minister calls for better student performance

The education minister of the Bahamas is exhorting students in his country to improve their grades or risk being cut off by employers in need of skilled workers. In his back-to-school speech, Desmond Bannister emphasised improving student performance in reading, writing and maths, as well as incorporating character education into everyday learning.
