Philadelphia Navy Yard to become energy-innovation hub

Pennsylvania State University is teaming with a group of private-sector partners to develop a new energy-innovation "mini-city" in the Philadelphia Navy Yard. The site will be developed using $159 million in government grants and feature proof-of-concept environmental installations -- including sensor-operated air filters, high-tech dehumidifiers and dynamic building skins that respond to external weather conditions.
