Renewable-electricity standard may be revived in Senate energy plan

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., on Tuesday said that he is still considering a renewable-electricity standard in energy legislation that the Senate may take up this year in a lame-duck session. The Senate had left out such a standard in a limited energy bill that was unveiled in July, but it is back on the negotiating table amid interest from two Republican lawmakers, said Reid.
