Report: America's highways aren't as bad as you think

America's highways are in better shape than at any time in the past 20 years, according to a Reason Foundation report. Increased maintenance work and reduced driving due to the recession have helped put roadways back on track; still, experts say, people won't stop complaining about roads anytime soon. "Human nature focuses on the pothole rather than the couple of miles of smooth pavement in front of and after the pothole," says the report's author.
