Technology interns to train teachers in Mississippi district

A $50,000 grant will provide two interns to train teachers at two Gulfport, Miss., schools to use classroom technology already available to them, such as whiteboards. Officials say the technology is useless if teachers do not know how to use it effectively. "The children today know more about technology than we do, and any help we can get bridging that gap is important," said Superintendent Glen East.
