Researchers at the National Institute of Standards and Technology, studying the reliability of carbon nanotubes, have found that nanotube interconnects between metal electrodes can show degradation of performance under constant current. They also discovered that the electrodes fail after 40 hours of constant current when currents rise above a threshold.
