NPs provide hospitalist care for patients with heart disease

St. John's Mercy Heart and Vascular Hospital in Missouri launched a cardiology hospitalist program that includes three nurse practitioners and is designed to give high-quality specialized care for heart disease patients and their loved ones. "By having a constant presence, we can begin to develop a consistent approach to the guidelines and management of the patient's care," said program leader Dr. Patricia Cole.
