The Transportation Security Administration this week stopped a woman with two birds wrapped in socks taped to her chest and leg at Los Angeles International Airport. U.S. Fish and Wildlife officers arrested her for allegedly smuggling and exporting an endangered species. The Transportation Security Administration noted that its primary mission is to detect terror threats, not smuggled wildlife. "TSA's mission of course is not to find artfully concealed wildlife, but items taped to a passenger's body could very well be explosives or some other dangerous prohibited item," wrote "Blogger Bob" of the TSA Blog Team. "We just don't know until we check it out."
