Novant physician clinics go live with Epic EHRs

Novant Health has rolled out its new EHR system from Epic at its physician clinics, three years before scheduled completion and under budget. The organization plans to continue the rollout to all of its acute care facilities, starting with Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center, which is set to become the first of its 14 medical centers to go live with the EHR this fall. The program strengthens connectivity and boosts the ability of the group to share clinical data within the system, said Dr. R. Henry Capps Jr., co-chief medical information officer for Novant Health.
