NATO to be more active militarily, commanders say

NATO's strategic commanders are drafting a paper that will call for the alliance to "respond militarily more frequently" to threats. The paper "provides the Alliance a consolidated military view of future operations drawn from our analysis of changes in the nature of the threat, lessons from recent conflicts, research papers and other national vision efforts," according to two of the authors.
