Meanwhile, Andrew Sullivan describes the choice of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin as the GOP's vice-presidential candidate as "a good day for gay Republicans," but out U.S. Rep. Tammy Baldwin, D-Wis., believes the selection of Palin "calls into question both Sen. [John] McCain's judgment and a McCain administration's ability to lead a nation in crisis."
