An immigration raid in Mississippi last week, one of several in the past year, brought attention to the raw emotions of the debate over immigration reform. Black workers cheered as hundreds of Hispanic workers were escorted out of Howard Industries in Laurel. "They said we took their jobs, but I was working from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.," said a 21-year-old immigrant worker who was arrested. "I didn't see them working like us."
