GM, eBay announce extension of online auto-shopping program

The pilot program between eBay and General Motors, which launched Aug. 11, was scheduled to end Sept. 8, but the companies announced that they would extend the program through Sept. 30. The deal allows consumers to bid online for new GM vehicles from hundreds of California dealerships. "We're getting positive dealer feedback and increased shopper consideration for GM vehicles in California," said Mark LaNeve, vice president of U.S. sales at GM.
