South Korean government says luxury-goods sales climbing

South Korea's Ministry of Knowledge Economy said that while imports of cosmetics and whiskey continue to contract, sales of major luxury goods are on the rise. The country's department store brands, including Hyundai, Shinsegae and Lotte, echo that sentiment, saying they have seen strong demand for luxury goods. For example, Lotte reported an 18.2% jump in luxury-goods sales last month.
