Study: Low-wage workers prevented from filing workers' comp claims

Many employers in New York, Los Angeles and Chicago discourage their low-wage workers from filing workers' compensation claims, U.S. researchers found. Out of the more than 4,300 workers surveyed, only 8% who suffered serious injuries while at work said they sought compensation for medical care and missed days of work.
