Canada adds BPA to toxics registry

Canada has listed bisphenol A as a toxic substance after research found that 91% of Canadians have traces of it in their bodies. The Australian Food and Grocery Council, however, disputes the claim: "There's no scientific evidence internationally that has shown any dangers to humans from BPA in canned products or bottles," its spokesman said. Canada's decision was "not be based on the best available data and scientific knowledge," according to the American Chemistry Council.
