Dozens of propane tanks explode at Scully site

A five-alarm fire at a site operated by Scully Welding Supply of Delaware County, Pa., detonated dozens of propane tanks and sent flames two stories into the air Wednesday. Firefighters successfully prevented the explosion of two tanks containing a combined 48,000 gallons of propane, but shrapnel from smaller tanks pelted nearby streets. "It looked like hell, like Dante's Inferno," said a fire marshal.
