Group kept Entergy's Vt. plant in energy auction

ISO New England rejected Entergy's plea to remove the Vermont Yankee nuclear plant from an energy-capacity auction that took place in August. The company made the request because the auction's commitment phase goes beyond the facility's operating license, which will expire in 2012 and is awaiting renewal, said spokesman Larry Smith. He also said the request was "an effort to minimize financial risk to the company."
