Gulfstream prototype G650 jet passes flutter testing

Gulfstream announced its first prototype G650 business jet passed high-speed flutter testing. The G650 twinjet can travel at a maximum cruise speed of Mach 0.995, which will make it the world's fastest production business jet. "The airplane response has matched the expectations of our engineers, and we've been able to easily fly the test conditions and march through the test plan," said senior experimental test pilot Thomas Horne.
