Plastic surgery patients' regrets may be more than skin deep

People who seek, then regret, multiple cosmetic surgeries and treatments may be trying to alleviate deeper issues, some psychologists say. However, there is no consensus among plastic surgeons regarding an increase in remorseful patients. "Maybe I've seen it a few times in my practice, but it's very rare," said Dr. Timothy Miller, chief of plastic surgery at the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles.
