Sleep-deprived teens eat more fat and calories

Teenagers who got less than eight hours of sleep per night ate 2.2% more calories from fat and had more snacks and total calories than those who got more sleep, study data showed. Researchers said these teens may have metabolic disturbances linked to obesity and insulin resistance similar to shift workers with irregular sleep.
