Hospitals tap mobile health apps to reach out to patients

More hospitals are turning to mobile health solutions not only to give providers easy access to medical data and boost care delivery, but also to better engage patients. A mobile app from Baptist Health in South Florida gives patients real-time data on wait times at its emergency rooms and urgent care facilities, while an app from Carolinas Health System lets patients check wait times and find doctors by specialty and location.
