Social share buttons gain ground across biggest websites

Social-network sharing buttons are gaining ground, with 53.6% of the largest websites including one or more of the buttons, which can greatly boost mentions in social media, according to the latest BrightEdge SocialShare Analysis. Twitter share buttons, for instance, boost site mentions by sevenfold by comparison with sites that don't have it, the BrightEdge report found. Among social networks, the share buttons for Facebook and Twitter were the two commonly used.
