United-Continental seeks to recertify all Koito seats

United-Continental has tapped Northwest Aerospace Technology to deal with the certification process on its seats manufactured by Koito, which falsified test data. The result was that regulators required airlines to determine whether the seats are compliant with regulations and remove any that aren't. "We are working closely with the [Federal Aviation Administration], and will fully comply with the rule requirements. We submitted our test plan to the FAA, and they concur with the plan," an airline representative said.
