Wild horses survive storm in N.C.'s Outer Banks

The herd of 128 wild colonial mustangs that live in the northern Outer Banks of North Carolina took shelter during Hurricane Irene and all survived the storm intact, officials said this week. The herd includes 14 foals born last spring and five additional horses that hadn't been observed before the storm.
