Amazon takes the lead in Japan's e-reader race

Rakuten had an almost five-month lead on Amazon when it launched the Kobo e-reader last year in Japan, but Amazon is coming out on top in a race for readers. "The reason for the Kindle's success in Japan is the same as it was in America," said Munechika Nishida, a tech analyst and author of "The Truth About the E-book Revolution." "The Amazon Web store is the easiest to use, the easiest to understand."
