Computer-based education helps moms of preterm infants, study shows

Mothers of preterm infants who participated in a computer-based education program had fewer symptoms of trauma and depression compared with their counterparts in a usual care group, Stanford University researchers reported in Pediatrics. Data showed more than 90% of mothers completed the intervention, and researchers said that suggested it could be implemented easily in a NICU and would not require specialized staff training.
