The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals upheld California's 13-month-old foie gras ban on Friday, rejecting claims by a group of U.S. and Canadian producers that the law interferes with free trade. Under the law, restaurants caught serving foie gras can be fined up to $1,000; producers are expected to once again appeal the ruling.
