Leatherhead: Dutch seek fair trade, sugar-free

Consumers in the Netherlands are willing to pay higher prices for sugar-free treats, boxed chocolates and fair trade confectionery, according to Leatherhead Food Research. "The move towards more expensive forms of sugar confectionery has been illustrated by growth within the sugar-free sweets market, and I expect this trend to continue," said Jonathan Thomas, primary market analyst at Leatherhead.
