NASA backs 6 innovative space projects

Laser thrusters for spacecraft and tiny robotic explorers are among six futuristic ideas to get a funding boost from Phase 2 of NASA's Innovative Advanced Concepts program. "As NASA begins a new chapter in exploration, we're investing in these seed-corn advanced concepts of next-generation technologies that will truly transform how we investigate and learn about our universe," said NASA's Michael Gazarik.
