Fourth- and fifth-graders in Altoona, Wis., will be attending class in the first of the district's new Intermediate Schools. The classrooms have work stations, designed with collaborative, project-based learning in mind. Classrooms will have 24 students, comprised of both grades to boost social skills and promote leadership abilities.
