Ky. schools adapt to rules for meals, fundraisers

Schools in Kentucky are adjusting to new federal regulations that mandate healthier meals and place restrictions on the type of food that can be sold as part of school fundraisers. Kentucky officials have opted against seeking an exemption to allow some food-based fundraisers. Some schools will hold fundraisers that integrate physical fitness instead of food.
