Long-term muni bond sale rise prompts some optimism

Long-term municipal bond sales of $24.4 billion in August were up 7% over the same month last year, leading some analysts to say an end is near to low municipal bond supply. However, John Dillon, managing director at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management, said volume is strong only in comparison to low levels of issuance in 2013.
