Arguments submitted against Canada's ABCP-market restructure

Corporate challenges to Canada's restructuring plan for the market of asset-backed commercial paper were filed with the Supreme Court of Canada. The challengers are unhappy that the plan essentially eliminates the right to sue financial institutions that sold the paper. If the court allows the plan, the frozen paper will be exchanged for freely trading bonds.
